  • Straighten kinked inlet hoses.
  • Clean the small inlet-valve filter screens.

E01 F03
Whirlpool
Washer

Water heating circuit fault on steam-capable front-load models

The control board commanded the internal heater and the NTC temperature sensor never reported a rise, so steam and sanitize cycles are disabled. Normal wash cycles keep working. A washer that will not drain shows F9 E1, not this code.

Relevant checks

  • Confirm the code reads E01 F03 or F03 E01, not F9 E1.
  • Test the NTC thermistor: 9,000 to 11,000 ohms at room temperature.
  • Check whether normal wash cycles still run - they should.

When to call

Call once the code is confirmed; the heater element and relay carry line voltage and are not DIY-safe.

E15Bosch

Leak protection or water in base pan

Existing Bosch E15 guide explains leak-protection behavior and safe next steps.

E14Bosch

Flow-meter filling fault (water fill not being counted)

E14 on a Bosch dishwasher is listed in BSH service data as a filling fault: the control receives no pulses from the flow sensor while the heat-pump circuit already detects water in the tub. The dishwasher switches from pulse-counted filling to timed filling, so many cycles still finish but fill by time instead of by volume. The remedy Bosch gives is to check the wire harness and plugs and to test the flow sensor, a reed switch on the water inlet system.

E8030Bosch

Cavity temperature too high with the door unlocked

E8030 on a Bosch HBE5452UC wall oven means the oven measured a cavity temperature that is too high for a door that is not locked. Bosch service data lists five causes: the door lock not engaging during a pyrolytic self-clean, a faulty PT500 temperature sensor, a fault in the control module, a faulty or mis-set temperature limiter, and grilling with accessories or top heat placed too high in the oven.

WHEN AN ERROR CODE IS URGENT

Don't keep running the appliance if you see these

Some failures escalate quickly — food loss, water damage, fire risk. If any of the below applies, call us before continuing.

Cooling failure

Move food to a cooler and call the same day if a refrigerator or freezer is warming. Bacteria growth begins above 40°F within 4 hours.

Water on the floor

Stop the appliance and shut off the water supply. Standing water reaches cabinets, flooring, and drywall fast in South Florida humidity.

Burning smell or breaker trips

Do not restart the machine. Electrical or heating faults need immediate professional diagnosis to prevent fire or further damage.
