Our Certifications & Insurance
Express Xpert is a fully insured and bonded appliance repair company serving South Florida. Our certifications and coverage protect homeowners and give customers confidence before inviting a technician into their home.
Insurance Coverage and Bonding
Express Xpert carries comprehensive general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. Our general liability policy covers property damage or injury that may occur during a service visit. This protects homeowners against unexpected events β such as a water leak during a dishwasher repair or accidental damage to cabinetry during an appliance removal.
Workers' compensation coverage protects our technicians. If a technician is injured while working in your home, our workers' compensation policy covers their medical costs. Homeowners are not financially responsible for on-the-job injuries when the company carries proper workers' comp. Hiring uninsured companies leaves homeowners exposed to significant financial and legal liability in these situations.
We are also bonded. Our surety bond provides an additional layer of protection for customers in the event of theft or willful misconduct during a service call. Our bonding is renewed annually and current.
EPA 608 Certification
Refrigerant handling is regulated by the United States Environmental Protection Agency under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act. Any technician who purchases, handles, or recovers regulated refrigerants β including those used in household refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, and wine coolers β must hold an EPA 608 certification.
All Express Xpert technicians who service refrigeration equipment carry valid EPA 608 certification. This certification confirms that our technicians have been trained in proper refrigerant recovery procedures, environmental compliance, and leak detection. Using uncertified technicians for refrigerant handling is illegal under federal law and creates environmental hazards.
For homeowners with Sub-Zero refrigerators, wine coolers, luxury refrigeration units, or older appliances that use R-22 or other regulated refrigerants, EPA 608 compliance is especially important. Our certified technicians handle refrigerant work correctly, legally, and safely.
Factory-Trained Technicians
Our technicians receive brand-specific training on the appliance lines we service most frequently. Factory training means we understand the unique diagnostic procedures, common failure points, and approved repair methods for major brands including Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE, Bosch, KitchenAid, Frigidaire, Maytag, Sub-Zero, and Wolf.
Brand-specific training matters because appliance technology varies significantly between manufacturers. Bosch dishwashers use different diagnostic codes than Whirlpool. Sub-Zero refrigerators use dual-compressor sealed systems that require different repair techniques than standard household fridges. LG linear compressors require specific diagnostic steps that generic repair training does not cover adequately.
Our factory training allows us to fix appliances correctly the first time with greater frequency. That means fewer repeat callbacks, fewer unnecessary parts replacements, and better outcomes for customers across South Florida.
Background Checks and In-Home Safety Standards
Every Express Xpert technician passes a comprehensive background check before being hired. We take in-home safety seriously. Our customers are opening their homes to our team, and that trust carries real responsibility. Background-checked technicians, combined with insured and bonded operations, create a service environment where homeowners can feel secure.
Our technicians carry company-branded vehicles, wear branded uniforms, and arrive with verified appointment confirmations. We also offer the option to confirm technician identity via a photo ID check before any work begins.
What Customers Should Expect from a Professional Company
A professional appliance repair company should provide a clear diagnosis, explain pricing before work begins, carry the right insurance, and document warranty coverage on qualifying repairs. Those are not optional trust signals for South Florida homeowners β they are part of what separates a professional service company from an unaccountable operator.
When you book with Express Xpert, your technician will arrive in a marked vehicle within the scheduled window. They will diagnose the appliance, explain the root cause in plain language, provide a written or verbal quote before starting any work, and document the repair on your invoice. You will receive a 90-day parts and labor warranty in writing before the technician leaves.
